Missouri Department Proposes Traditional Ammo Ban
Voice Your Opposition by Submitting Comments Before Oct. 31

The Missouri Department of Conservation recently proposed two regulation changes that would ban the use of traditional, or lead, ammunition for hunting on state-owned game lands. The first proposal would add 16 conservation areas to the existing 21 areas that ban the use of lead shot for ALL hunting. The second proposal would ban the use of lead ammunition for dove hunting on 20 popular conservation areas.

These proposals have the potential of pricing many hunters out of doing what they love – hunting. The proposed changes could lead to an outright ban on the use of traditional ammunition for all hunting on public, or private land, similar to what California has enacted.

Please voice your opposition today by submitting comments in opposition to each of the proposed bans. The comment period will close on October 31, 2018.
